Check out the video, "The Immortal Cells of Henrietta Lacks," for an amazing story of modern cell use and discovery. It is based on the book "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot (available in our school library, call number: "SKL 616" and at the base library, call number: "B LAC 2010").
Friday/Monday (10/13 & 10/16): Read pages 66-75 in the class textbook (Nowicki 2012). Answer the questions on Schoology entitled "Pre-lecture Warm-up -Cell Organelles ." Complete and attach the "Data Analysis" handout for left-side work in your notebook. Watch: "Introduction to Cells,""The Wacky History of Cell Theory.".
